TWO PATIOS.
ONE CITY BELOW.
ROOFTOP PATIO DINING IN DOWNTOWN VICTORIA
Up the stairs at 804 Broughton, past the water fountain, out the door — and you're on the roof. Two of them, actually. Burgers, margaritas on tap, the newest Superflux beer in the city, and a whole lot of sky.
This is the part of {Cabana} people describe badly to their friends and then bring them to anyway.
WHEN THE PATIO'S OPEN
The patios run spring through fall, weather depending. Victoria being Victoria, that's a longer stretch than most of the country gets — and we open them the moment it's worth sitting outside.
The covered bar outside stays open year round, in limited numbers. So there's always somewhere to be outside with a beer, even in February.
HOW IT WORKS UP THERE
First come, first served. The patio isn't on the reservation system — come up, and if there's a wait our host takes your name and texts you.
Groups up to 8. That's the patio ceiling, and it's the same first-come rule. Bigger than 8 and you'll want the lounge — groups of 13+ email us and we'll sort it.
Reservations are for inside. Up to 12 people through OpenTable, 24 hours' notice.
BOOK A TABLEWHAT TO DRINK ON A ROOF
The {Cabana} Margarita comes off the tap. El Tequileno Reposado, triple sec, lime, house smoked salt rim. Make it spicy for a dollar. It's what most people order up here and we've stopped pretending that's a coincidence.
The tap list is whatever came off the line at Superflux this week — we're the only place on the Island pouring the brewery-exclusive releases.
And Happyness Hour runs twice a day, every day: {4–5pm} and {9pm to close}. Margaritas and Shafts at $10, house lager at $5.
THE KITCHEN RUNS LATE
Full menu on the patio, right up until the kitchen shuts. Burgers, sandos, the Cabana Fries, one big salad. Nothing about being outside means you're stuck with snacks.
THE MENUGOOD TO KNOW
Getting up here — we're on the second floor. There's a doorbell at the bottom of the stairs; ring it and someone will come down and help.
Kids — welcome, supervised and seated. No high chairs, no booster seats, no kids menu. {Cabana} is built for adults.
Dogs — sorry. Not on the patio, not in the lounge.
Heaters — yes, we've got them. Shoulder season is still patio season.
